Our Story
Hugs from Mimi, a nonprofit corporation, has been created in loving memory of our beautiful Mom who loved being Mimi to all of her grandchildren and their friends. She truly loved children and helping others. Our family is committed to continuing her work on earth. We provide a Hugs from Mimi teddy bear to every child admitted to Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, FL since December 2014! We keep Pediatrics, PICU, and NICU stocked with our bears. In addition to the hospital, we provide two local fire stations with bears to give to children on their calls. Each bear has a special tag with our story, encouraging bible verses, and a prayer. Our goal is to put a smile on each child’s face, show them the love of Jesus, and to give them hope.

Hugs from Mimi is blessed to have an amazing group of volunteers that keep this ministry running smoothly. They are the hands and feet of Jesus and do the work with a smile on their face and joy in their heart! These volunteers are a huge blessing to the ministry and we are so thankful for each one of them!
